People sometimes ask me, "Why do you keep organizing bridal fairs?"

The honest answer? Because I've seen what happens inside those rooms.

Yes, it takes months of preparation — coordinating with suppliers, managing details, and solving last-minute problems. But every time the doors open and couples begin to walk in, I'm reminded why it's all worth it.

From the very beginning, I wanted our bridal fair to feel different.

Planning a wedding is already overwhelming. The fair itself shouldn't add to that pressure. So we made a conscious decision: keep it laid-back. Let couples move at their own pace. Give them space to have real conversations. Let them actually enjoy the process.

Interestingly, it's often the grooms who notice this first.

Many of them say they appreciate how relaxed the environment is. Instead of feeling dragged from booth to booth or pressured to decide on the spot, they get to be part of the experience. They don't feel overwhelmed — they feel included.

And over time, I started noticing something else.

I've seen small startup wedding businesses join the fair feeling unsure, quietly hoping someone would stop by their booth. Then by the end of the day, some of them walk away with their first real bookings.

Watching that shift — from doubt to confidence — is something that stays with me every single time.

But everything deepened one Sunday during a church service, when a question was asked:

"What do you have that you can use to spread the Word of the Lord?"

I sat with that question. I didn't want a quick answer — I wanted a meaningful one.

And slowly, it became clear. The answer was the bridal fair.

That realization gave birth to what we now call Beyond Weddings by Before I Do.

What started as an event became a platform. Through Beyond Weddings by Before I Do, we began creating space for something more:

It became more than planning. It became purpose.

Along the way, I also created Bride's Quiet Moments — a wedding planning journal that helps brides plan their wedding and pour out their thoughts, prayers, and even their frustrations. It's a simple prayer journal and a space where brides can write down their fears, hopes, prayers, and plans, while lifting them up to the Lord.

Some brides have shared that in the middle of all the busyness, writing things down helped them slow down… reflect… and breathe.

Because sometimes, what we really need isn't another checklist. Sometimes, we just need a quiet moment.

So why do I continue organizing bridal fairs?

Because over time, it has become more than an event. It's a space where couples can breathe while planning one of the most meaningful days of their lives. A space where small businesses are given real opportunities. A space where faith, encouragement, and community quietly come together.

And as we prepare for our next bridal fair, my prayer remains simple:

That every couple who walks in will not only find the suppliers they need — but also the peace, guidance, and encouragement they didn't even realize they were looking for.

And if, along the way, you feel the need to pause, reflect, or pray — Bride's Quiet Moments will always be there to walk with you through it.

Peace and blessings,

Summer
